We have just launched a new initiative called #IAmBiggerThanMe.
The purpose behind this campaign is to reach out to non-profit and non-governmental organisations that rely on support from industry and the public to do the work they do.
The campaign also aims to inspire people to look at their world and ask themselves, “How can I be Bigger Than myself?”
At Bigger Than Me we receive regular enquiries from NPOs and NGOs about our services and a common thread evolves around budget restraints.
We also consistently get enquiries by individuals who feel compelled to do good, have a good concept, but are not sure how to proceed.
Giving Back
The #IAmBiggerThanMe campaign is our way of giving back.
We want to help to elevate some amazing causes that we have come across and that resonate with our ethos.
There are a lot of good people in our communities who want to ‘do good.’ Often, however, they are unaware of the plight of many of the smaller charities and cause-based organisations.
These initiatives are usually started out of genuine desperation and a need to address issues in a community, but the initiators of these causes have little or no means to publicise their plight.
Having worked in some of the poorest communities in South Africa we have been at the rock face.
We have witnessed both the amazing people that work in these areas and the daily challenges they face and the necessity for all of us to do more.
With #IAmBiggerThanMe we hope to tell the stories behind some of these causes to reach more people and preferably a broader donor base.
It is all about asking yourself – Can I be BIGGER THAN ME?
